Hydrocotyle Leucocephala aka. Pennywort originates from wetlands and marches in Southern Mexico to Northern Argentina. A rapid grower, Pennywort reaches 20 cm (8 inches ) in height. The round, dime to half-dollar sized leaves grows along a vine-like creeping stem. Brazilian Pennyworts form is a nice contrast to many other plants you will find in aquariums. At each leaf joint, the plant sends out small white root shoots. And, when the plant reaches the surface of the water, it will produce tiny white blossoms.
