Native to India, its stems will grow 20 – 30 cm (7 – 11 inches) in height. Found in marshy areas. It has small leaves which will appear green, tan.. Under intense light, it will develop red shades. It requires regular pruning. And, plant in nutrient-rich substrate, in the mid-ground of your aquarium. When planting, give each stem enough space to ensure the lower regions get enough light. If not, it may result in rot, leaving the top part to break loose. It will also enjoy CO2 supplementation. Soft water is vital to ensure optimal growth. Cut the longest stems 5 – 10 cm from the ground and replant them.
