Hygrophlia Polysperma Sunest

One of the hardiest plants available for aquariums. Perfect for beginners, especially as it is part of a rare variety of red plants (or pink, in this case.)

Originating from Southeast Asia, this sunset coloured variety of Hygrophila Polysperma grows 30 cm (11 inches) in height. It will thrive in almost all water conditions and is so resilient. You have to actively try and kill it to fail with this plant (do not take that as a challenge.)

Under optimal conditions, it develops a pinkish colouration with a characteristic light rib structure. Under medium lighting, it grows slower. And, adopts a yellow-green tone with pinkish ribs. Under lower lighting, it survives but grows slow and looks like a wild plant, almost without any contrasting ribs. Depending on its position in the tank, you may get all three types of leaves along different heights of the same stem!

To ensure you get the best quality plant, we order plants in fresh at the end of each week, for next week delivery. Straight to your door. This way, we assure you receive healthy, vibrant plants. Doing this means we can also lower our prices for you. Please expect delivery to be Thursday of the following week that you ordered.

Not like the photo

I was expecting a pink leaved plant but it was all green. I guess its too young to have colour ? It is growing very well though, the fastest of the 3 species I ordered.
