Stargrass

It prefers soft water. And, the amount of light needed is dependent on how deep your aquarium is. It breaks easily and will not do well with robust, digging or plant-eating fishes.

With origins in South America. Found in Northern Argentina, Southern Brazil, Paraguay, and Bolivia. Growing 8 – 15 cm (3 – 5 inches) tall. It prefers a tropical aquarium with a lot of light. The plant can be quite hardy. And, will grow in less than optimal conditions, given it receives enough light. You can propagate with the help of cuttings.

Stargrass will grow faster in an aquarium with more light. Colour changes depending on the amount of light available. They become more light green in stronger lights. An aquarium with a larger depth will require more light. Adding CO2 to the water will increase its growth ratio.

Arrived withered and slightly broken in a couple areas. It has survived and is very slowly growing.

This plant grows really fast, which is nice. Be prepared to trim it quite often.
