Anubias nana

This hardy rosette plant is an aquarium favourite among many hobbyists. Attach it to logs in an aquarium to form a lovely tropical scene.

Native to Africa (Cameroon and Nigeria.) It can reach up to 20 cm (8 inches) in height. Anubias Nana features dark-green leaves in low, handsome clumps; diagonal lines run from the centre vein to the leaf perimeter.

It prefers moderate lighting, the alkalinity of 3 - 8 dKH, and a pH of 6.0 - 7.5. When planting aquatic greenery, take care of the roots and rhizome.  And, pay special attention to its feelings. Propagation can occur under correct water conditions. The rhizome (horizontal underground plant stem, capable of producing the shoot and root systems of a new plant) assist in this process. A quality substrate fertilizer is necessary as well as a warmed tank bottom. Also recommended is CO2 fertilisation.

Be careful not to bury the rhizome of your nana or it will most likely die. Alternatively you can attach it to wood or rocks.

To ensure you get the best quality plant, we order plants in fresh at the end of each week, for next week delivery. Straight to your door. This way, we assure you receive healthy, vibrant plants. Doing this means we can also lower our prices for you. Please expect delivery to be Thursday of the following week that you ordered.
