Echinodorus Argentinensis is a large species and requires space in the aquarium to grow, so, it is suited to larger aquariums. Grown submersed and emersed. In conditions, where not completely submerged, there may be struggles with growth.
Native to South America. Its natural habitats include growing in mud along rivers. Use a nutritious substrate for healthy growth. It prefers sandy soil and sub-tropical temperatures. It is fast-growing and can quickly reach the surface. This is a plant that loves to be the centre of attention, reaching heights of 150 cm (60 inches.)
For such a large plant, Echinodorus Argentenesis is hardy and undemanding. Keep in shape by removing old leaves and letting the newer leaves sprout through. Most tank conditions and moderate lighting setups will suit this plant’s needs.
Will respond kindly to iron and CO2 supplementation.
