Excellent for beginners. Under the proper conditions, this will form a thick carpet with its many runners. It is amphibious and will grow either emersed or submersed.
Native to South America, The Chain Sword - Narrow Leaf, is also known as the Zealandia Chain Sword. It is the smallest species of the Alismataceae family. It has very linear, green leaves, almost without petioles. Reaching a height of 15 cm (6 inches.) It likes a substrate of sandy soil varieties and suits the foreground of aquariums. Plant in dense groups and it will grow to have a wild grass-like effect. It requires plenty of light and water temperatures between 68°-84°F for best growth. It prefers water that has a neutral pH. A nutrient-rich substrate will promote growth. High light and CO2 will keep growth short and compact.
