Ambulia is one of those plants that can withstand a wide range of water conditions. For this reason, it has become a very popular species amongst fishkeepers and aquascapers alike. With its attractive narrow fine leaves providing a dense green backdrop, they make the ideal choice for anyone who is looking to create a natural-looking aquarium.

Like most stem plants, Ambulia will grow well enough under low lighting and regular trimming and replanting will produce a very nice thick bushy plant, creating the ideal place for fry to seek refuge.

Most Ambulia are sold as bright green plants but when in the home aquarium. If high levels of strong lighting is provided along with regular dosing of micronutrients, the Ambulia will produce reddish leaves towards the top of the plant.
