Aponogeton Undalatus

These plants are VERY FRAGILE and often the leaves will come off in transport. As long as the bulb remains intact the plant will be fine and grow as it should for you.  Our DOA policy DOES NOT cover damaged leaves for this plant, but it DOES if the bulb is destroyed.

Rarely available for trade, but long known as an undemanding species in the aquarium hobby.

This tuber-forming submersed plant is widespread within tropical regions of Asia. Its decorative, green-transparent leaves are lanceolate to strap-shaped. Arranged into 40 cm (15 inches) high, leaves with grid-like texture.

An advantage of A. Undulatus is that it has no dormant phase and prefers high temperatures of above 24 °C. Well suited to a solitary plant lifestyle or try planting in a small group, it’s the perfect type of tank-mate. Plant mid to background. It looks best in taller tanks of at least 100 litres. Try it in an Asia biotope tank, inspired by overgrown standing waters.

Does not need CO2 fertilisation in tanks to thrive, but do provide a nutrient-rich substrate.

To ensure you get the best quality plant, we order plants in fresh at the end of each week, for next week delivery. Straight to your door. This way, we assure you receive healthy, vibrant plants. Doing this means we can also lower our prices for you. Please expect delivery to be Thursday of the following week that you ordered.

Healthy bulbs received, sprouted new leaves within the first week, new leaves grew to the surface (650 mm) within 3 weeks, now looking very healthy with the undulating leaves the plant is named after

Arrived in a bad shape.

Arrived in a bad shape. Bulb was spilt and torn on arrival. However, the plants were ordered during COVID lockdown so that could of affected the quality of live plants.
