The Green Phantom Pleco is an absolute show fish. One that is guaranteed to stop you dead in your tracks and provide you with a display of strength and colour.

Found in faster moving waters of the Orinoco River in Venezuela, a suitable filtration system is absolutely vital to provide the best possible habitat for this beautiful pleco. The ideal setup should include lots of smooth boulders and a soft sandy substrate. Any plants used should be attached to the surface of the stones or possible driftwood to avoid uprooting.

Like most pleco, they become territorial as they age so careful consideration of aquarium size and other tank mates are advised. If a large enough aquarium is available, most similar-sized pleco is suitable for tank mates.

Green Phantom Pleco has been bred in the home aquarium and can be done by providing a high-quality diet and several options for cave spawning. Males will maintain care straight after spawning.

All our fish are quarantined on arrival for two weeks. During this time, we treat for any health issues that may occur during transport and ensure each fish is eating well and looking healthy.  All fish are treated with Flubendazole before finally going on sale.
