Ludwigia Peruensis, or Ludwigia Glandulosa, is a beautiful amphibious plant. It will grow either emersed or submersed.

Native to North America, where it grows on banks of waterways. Emersed it produces bright yellow flowers, in its submersed form, it will not flower. Its spade-shaped leaves range in colour from dark green to brownish-red. The top of the leaves is olive green in colour, whereas the undersides are reddish-brown to deep red. Its height will range from 40 – 55 cm (16 – 22 inches.)

Red Ludwigia is a perfect mid-ground plant in the average aquarium. Or, even placed as a background in smaller aquariums. They need high light intensity. The vibrancy of this plant depends on the amount of light it receives. Poor illumination will fade its colours. Propagate by cuttings.

To ensure you get the best quality plant, we order plants in fresh at the end of each week, for next week delivery. Straight to your door. This way, we assure you receive healthy, vibrant plants. Gorgeous colour!

I have tried this plant twice before bunched and had no success but love the colour so much I have tried again with a potted version. Looking good so far and hopefully will thrive this time around.

Nice plant.

Arrived healthy & in good time. It was a bit damaged from a potted plant crushing some of the leaves, but seems to be slowly bouncing back in a higher light with C02 tank.

Red/green

Plants were more green than red but both are thriving which is more important to me, very happy cheers.
